Senator Feeney met with Commander of the Dive Team 10, Commander Paul Gregg, in Hobart to tour the facilities and discuss their innovative role within the Navy.
“Our entire Dive Team is comprised of Reservists ranging from small business operators to a policeman,” Commander Gregg said.
“We conduct a variety of tasks, and over the past few years we have deployed to Operation RENDER SAFE in the Solomon Islands, provided support to our warships and developed an underwater damage repair capability for the RAN.”
Reservists are employed across a wide range of roles in Navy, including support to Operations.
There are more than 2000 Active Reservists employed across the RAN this year.
