Flinders Medical Centre (Emergency Department) tonight won the Employer of the Year Award from the South Australian Committee of the Defence Reserves Support Council.
Held at the State Library, the Award was presented by the Governor of South Australia, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR.
Parliamentary Secretary for Defence, Senator David Feeney, congratulated the winner and all employers who were recognised for their support of Australian Defence Force Reserves.
“The Employer of the Year Award recognises the outstanding efforts that Flinders Medical Centre has made to create a workplace that supports Reserve members of the Australian Defence Force, ” Senator Feeney said.
“By creating a flexible environment and supporting a shared workforce, employers make it possible for Reservists to serve in the ADF part time and strengthen and develop their military and civilian skills.”
