• Defence Science and Technology Organisation
• Personnel policy, including:
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Defence families
  • Superannuation
  • Workplace equity
  • Occupational Health and Safety
• Personnel support, including:
  • Defence Housing Australia and housing support services. (Except that the Minister for Defence is the joint shareholder Minister for the DHA with the Minister for Finance and Administration.)
  • All aspects of Defence people management including health services and compensation
  • Defence Community Organisation and Defence Families Australia
• Justice and fairness in Defence, including the Military Justice System
• Defence Legal matters
• Defence involvement in indigenous affairs
