NEW CONTRACT TO SUPPORT ADF RECRUITING
The Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, the Hon. Warren Snowdon MP, today witnessed the signing of the new Australian Defence Force (ADF) Recruiting Services Contract awarded to Australian company, Chandler Macleod, which is valued at up to $405 million over the next five years.

HMAS Sydney II Memorial Service
Some 207km (112 nm) off Steep Point on the Western Australian coast, Navy Principal Chaplain Eric Burton, RAN, conducted a moving service over the site where HMAS Sydney II now rests after she was lost 66 years earlier.

HMAS SYDNEY II is found
In a historic day for the Royal Australian Navy and members of the Finding Sydney Foundation, the HMAS Sydney II has been found, 66 years after the entire ship's company perished following a furious engagement with the German raider HSK Kormoran in November 1941.
