AIR FORCE OP SUMATRA ASSIST ‘WELCOME HOME’
What:
‘Welcome Home’ activity for Air Force personnel who supported Operation Sumatra Assist Phase One and Phase Two.Where: RAAF Base Richmond
When: 10.00am Wednesday 27 April 2005.
Media wishing to attend the event are to be at the front gate at 9.20am.
The efforts of Air Force personnel who supported Operation Sumatra Assist during Phase One and Phase Two and the contribution of their families will be formally recognised at a ceremony at the Airmen’s mess at RAAF Base Richmond.
The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence, the Honourable Teresa Gambero and the Chief of the Air Force, Air Marshal Angus Houston, AO, AFC will attend the formal ceremony with other dignitaries.
NB: There will be an opportunity to film the official addresses given by the dignitaries, however there will not be a formal parade.
